1. It will not be used for telemedicine.
2. Omnes provides the physical location for the server,
manages the software at the system level (MS NT 4.0 Operating System,
MS IIS), and makes regular back-ups.
3 The file formats supported by the RealServer G2 software
are .rm and .smi.
4.Final edited clips should be in an .au, .avi, or .wav format and uncompressed.
Video clips with narration or music should be limited to approximately
10 minutes of 256 by 192 pixel video. Software** is available to convert
media files to the .rm format.
5.Clips placed on the streaming media server can be accessed from web
pages with appropriate hyperlinks. The ATC will provide the Internet address
for your file on the server and an example of the HTML code to place on
your web pages. Users need to create their own web pages to access the
clips.
6.Users should keep a copy of their .rm files and store them with their
original .au, .avi, and .wav files.
7.At its discretion, the Library/ATC may provide direct access to the
server for faculty who are technically able to produce streaming media
files and create their own hyperlinks.

the RealProducer Plus software and instructions available to use when
converting your media files. The free RealProducer software is available
for download from http://www.realnetworks.com/products/authkit/index.html.
