Access Literature Search
red divider bar

Librarians are available to perform literature searches for the faculty, staff, and students of UTMB. Searches can be performed in any of the databases that the Library provides.

It is important to note that the literature search services to which the library subscribes form only a small part of the total number of databases available, and do not include some of the most important ones, such as BIOSIS or International Pharmaceutical Abstracts. Librarians have access to these additional databases and can perform searches for clients on a pay-per-search basis.

Searches may be requested on an as-needed basis, or a current awareness/update search can be established. Current awareness searches are run by librarians for clients on a regular (usually monthly) basis.

Fees:
UTMB faculty, staff, students:  No charge

Non-UTMB: Librarians can search for people unaffiliated with UTMB.
Library Subscribed Databases: $35 service charge.
Pay-per-Search Databases: $35 service charge + charges incurred while searching.

Please allow a 24 hour turnaround.

Contact a Reference Librarian in person at the Reference Desk or call 409-772-2372.
