The Academic Technology Center of the Moody Medical Library provides a variety of videotapes on software for developing multimedia for the Web. These software videos include instruction on creating web graphics, preparing and editing digital videos and
2-d animations.

The tapes are available for onsite viewing only.

Premiere 6
Premiere 6 is video editing software. The instructional videos for this program cover the features in the latest release of Premiere from Adobe Systems. In this 16-hour series, four Premiere experts show how they create professional quality films with the advanced video editing capabilities and new effects featured in the program.

Adobe Photoshop 6 and Creating Web Graphics with Adobe Photoshop 6
Adobe Photoshop is a program used to create and edit graphics. This comprehensive video collection combines a thorough description of the program's capabilities with an in-depth discussion of how to prepare sharp, vibrant graphics for the Web.

After Effects 4
After Effects 4 is a program to produce motion graphics and visual effects for film, video, multimedia, and the Web. The training program includes 9 videotapes and a CD-ROM. It covers standard features in the program in addition to advanced features such as Distortion Filters, Time Displacement, The Wiggler, Exponential Scale, Layering Effects, and Motion Math. These tapes will increase productivity and performance for novice and power users.

Learning Flash MX
Learning Flash MX is a workshop that includes over 15 hours of movie-based tutorials. The exercises walk you through the essential features of the authoring tool including drawing tools, importing bitmaps and vectors, animation, masking, working with Symbols, Action-Scripting basics, music and sound effects, the deconstruction of a complete Flash site and much more.

Learning Dreamweaver MX
This CD includes 7 hours of movie-based tutorials and all the exercise files needed to follow along at your own pace. This product is intended for the beginner or the existing Dreamweaver user who wants to get up to speed with MX. You'll find hours of tips and techniques designed to help you understand how to use the feature-rich tools of Dreamweaver MX. This CD covers issues such as accessibility, site management, rollovers, forms, frames, how to get your site online, and much more.

Learning Director 8.5
This is a movie-based workshop that was developed for beginning Director users, and includes all the exercise files so you can follow along at your own pace. This CD will help you get a firm grasp of the Director interface, as well as a basic understanding of Director's scripting language, Lingo. Approximately 14 hours.

Learning ActionScript in Flash MX
This is a movie-based reference style workshop. This workshop takes you through the most common pieces of code in a quick and effective manner. Much like a live reference manual, this will show you the correct syntax and how to incorporate code into your projects. Some of the topics covered include dot syntax, events, pathing, variables, loading external content, working with movie clips, preloaders, functions, logic, Booleans, and more, all presented in small bite size servings. Running time: 4 hours
