How Do I Get a Document from Another Library?

We have a web-based service called ILLiad, available from the Library's homepage that anyone affiliated with UTMB may use.  To register, click on the "First Time Users" link beneath the "Logon to ILLiad" button, and follow the directions on the screens.  You will set up your own username and password.

Use any of the five buttons at the top of the ILLiad menu to request documents (choices available are Request an Article, Request a Book, Request a Book Chapter, Request a Thesis and Request Other (Free Text)).  Complete the chosen form with as much information as you have available, then submit the form (button is at the bottom of the page).  A Transaction Number will appear near the top of the ILLiad menu, indicating that your request was added.

You can
1.  Track the status of your document request under the View/Modify Outstanding Requets button,
2.  Retrieve articles delivered electronically under the "View/Download Electronically Received Articles" button
3.  Change your password under the "Change Password" button.

You should receive an email notice whenever a document is delivered but you can always log on to ILLiad, go to the button labeled "View/Download Electronically Received Articles" (look for the second button beneath the red bar labeled "Review Requests") to see what might be waiting for you.
