BACKGROUND

The Blocker Archives and Manuscripts Collection holds over 150 archival collections documenting the history of the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston in addition to state and national organizations. Materials included in this collection are personal and professional correspondence, class notes and syllabi, and manuscripts and reprints of published articles.

RESEARCH VALUE

The Blocker Archives and Manuscripts Collection chronicles the long and illustrious history of UTMB through its collection of the private and professional papers of UTMB faculty, staff, students and alumni as well as the records of numerous state and national organizations and professional societies in medicine and related fields.
