Goals
 1. To provide the student with an experience in geriatric consultation and pre‑operative assessment. 2. To learn systematic evaluation of common clinical problems of the elderly. 3. To understand comprehensive geriatric assessment.

Objectives
 Student will improve their ability to: 1. Appreciate the importance of multidisciplinary care in the evaluation and management of older patients. 2. Evaluate and manage common clinical problems in the elderly, including pre-­operative assessment. 3. Organize appropriate discharge planning and follow‑up of older patients.

Description of course activities
 1. Participate in inpatient consultation rounds and geriatric assessment of patients in clinic and on no-medical wards. This team now co‑manages all patients aged 70 and above on the orthopedic service. 2. Students will be given daily reading assignments on clinical issues. 3. Students will participate in organized interdisciplinary meetings. 4.
